Here's a study tip to overcome the plateau you may be experiencing. Try not to translate new vocabulary or expressions into your own language first. Instead, try to learn new words and phrases directly in English and in context. It will help you A LOT.
VOCABULARY and EXPRESSIONS
To fall into pitfalls - routine mistakes/ obstacles that we get stuck in
To overcome - to conquer; to win against something
A plateau - a flat part where you don't feel like you're learning
A breakthrough - a sudden advancement or growth
L1- first/native language
L2- the language you're studying
Path (n) - a small road (normally for walking)
There's not a direct translation - the expression in English may not exactly exist in your language
To have a tendency to do something
To step away from something - to leave something behind
